I’d recommend Taming Demons for Beginners to everyone looking for a fun, action-packed, magical read. Taming Demons for Beginners will definitely make it into my Top Ten Favorites from 2019 list. I’d be fine with both, but I got to say, I’d like to peruse a best buddies type of book just for a change of my usual reading material, plus, this book already has so many things going on to keep you turning the pages that it wouldn’t suffer from the lack of romance. The chemistry between the leads here is definitely on point even though it’s unclear whether it will bloom into romance (more likely not though) or simply an amazing friendship. In fact, this book is exactly what I look for in my Fantasy/Paranormal reads: enough wonder to keep me interested, magic that isn’t too complicated to keep up with, and great chemistry between the main characters. It sets up the world well enough that you don’t have to have read her The Guild Codex: Spellbound novels which take place in the same universe. A few problems are solved, but new ones appear for our characters to tackle in the following books. Taming Demons for Beginners is a wonderful start for Annette Marie’s new series.
